What was whois.mrrobot.app?

Why was this service shut down?
Section titled “Why was this service shut down?”You can still look up information about a Discord user directly via the /whois command in Mr. Robøt, without leaving Discord.
For transparency, whois.mrrobot.app was also shut down to remain compliant with the Discord API Terms of Service. This type of tool allowed profile lookups without a shared server, which bypasses Discord’s visibility rules and can facilitate harassment, doxxing, or user targeting.
What is the alternative?
Section titled “What is the alternative?”Use the /whois command from Mr. Robøt directly in your Discord server. You can target a user by mention or by ID.
